1. Who we are

This Cookie Policy explains how SKL PRO TRAVEL S.R.L. uses cookies and similar technologies on palatulparlamentului.com.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use a site. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, pixels, or scripts that set identifiers — may be used for comparable purposes. In this policy, “cookies” includes those similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

  • First-party — set by us on palatulparlamentului.com; or
  • Third-party — set by another domain (for example Google when analytics is enabled).

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser; or
  • Persistent cookies — stored for a defined period or until you delete them.

3. Legal framework and consent

We use cookies in line with Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), as transposed in Romania, and the GDPR where cookie data constitutes personal data.

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required to provide a service you request (including storing your consent choice) may be used without prior consent.
  • Non-essential cookies (including analytics) — used only after you give consent via our consent interface, where that interface is shown.

You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage analytics preferences. Withdrawing or refusing analytics does not prevent you from browsing the Website.

Note on devices: our on-site consent banner and Google Analytics loading currently apply on larger (desktop) viewports. On smaller screens we do not load analytics scripts through this mechanism. Necessary site operation and this Cookie Policy still apply.

4. Cookies and storage we use

4.1 Necessary

These cookies are needed for basic operation and to remember privacy choices. They cannot be switched off through our banner without impairing those functions.

  • Name: pp_cookie_consent
  • Provider: SKL PRO TRAVEL S.R.L. (first-party)
  • Purpose: stores your cookie decision (whether analytics is allowed), consent schema version, and decision timestamp so we do not ask on every page load and so we only enable analytics when permitted.
  • Type: persistent HTTP cookie
  • Duration: up to 12 months (max-age 365 days)
  • Legal basis: strictly necessary / compliance with consent requirements

The Website may also rely on transient technical storage required by the hosting platform or browser for security and session continuity. Such storage is limited to what is needed to deliver the page securely.

4.2 Analytics (optional)

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js / Google Tag) to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and site performance. Analytics cookies and related storage are not set by us until you consent.

  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC
  • Typical identifiers: cookies and storage such as _ga, _ga_*, and related Google Analytics / measurement identifiers (exact names may vary with Google's product updates)
  • Purpose: statistics on visits, page views, device/browser categories, and approximate geography; help us improve content and usability
  • Configuration: we request IP anonymisation where supported (anonymize_ip) and update Google consent mode to grant analytics storage only after your acceptance
  • Duration:according to Google Analytics defaults / property settings (often up to 24 months for certain identifiers — see Google's documentation for current periods)
  • Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

Google may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Transfers rely on Google's GDPR transfer mechanisms (including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable). For Google's own notices, see Google Privacy Policy and Google Business Data Responsibility.

If no Google Analytics measurement ID is configured for the Website, analytics scripts will not load even if you accept analytics.

5. What we do not use (on this site)

On palatulparlamentului.com we do not currently use, as part of our standard setup:

  • advertising or retargeting cookies;
  • social media tracking pixels embedded for advertising;
  • payment cookies (payments occur only on the external booking application).

Third-party sites you open from our links (maps, booking checkout, WhatsApp, review platforms) may set their own cookies under their policies. We do not control those cookies.

6. How to manage your preferences

6.1 Our consent banner

Where the consent banner is shown, you can:

  • Accept all — allow necessary and analytics cookies;
  • Reject non-essential — keep only necessary cookies;
  • Manage — toggle analytics and save your choice.

Your choice is stored in pp_cookie_consent. Clearing site cookies or waiting until the cookie expires will cause the banner to appear again (where applicable).

To change a previous decision, delete the pp_cookie_consent cookie for palatulparlamentului.com in your browser (or clear cookies for this site) and reload the page so you can choose again.

6.2 Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via settings. Blocking all cookies may affect site features (including remembering your consent). Guidance for common browsers:

7. Personal data and your rights

Where cookies involve personal data (for example IP address or online identifiers), you have the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including access, erasure, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).

8. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly. Material changes may also require a new consent version, which can cause the banner to reappear.
